Mary Duckert

Mary J. Duckert passed away on October 25, 2009. Author, children's worker and Christian educator, she served as secretary for elementary resources for Church Educational Services of the Board of Christian Education and was a field representative for Westminster Press. In 1995, she was named Educator of the Year by the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators. Duckert wrote and edited an array of curriculum resources and Christian education books, including Help! I'm a Sunday School Teacher and New Kid in the Pew: Shared Ministry with Children.

Michael Goulder

Michael Goulder passed away on January 6, 2010 at the age of 82. He was Professor of Biblical Studies at the University of Birmingham until his retirement in 1994. A prolific scholar in both New and Old Testament, he published widely on both, and was President of the Society of Old Testament Studies in 2001. He was also known as a successful teacher with a friendly, engaging style. The author of WJK's St. Paul versus St. Peter: A Tale of Two Missions, Michael Goulder is survived by his wife, Clare Gardner, and their two daughters and two sons.

Sara Little

Dr. Sara P. Little passed away on March 4, 2009 at the age of 89. A pioneer in Christian education, she was named in 1979 as Educator of the Year by the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators. On June 19, 2002 she was recognized by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), where she received the Award for Excellence in Theological Education–a lifetime achievement award–from the Committee on Theological Education (COTE). She spent nearly four decades at Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education, in Richmond, Virginia, before retiring. She is the author of WJK's To Set One's Heart.

Erich Zenger

Erich Zenger passed away on April 4, 2010 at the age of 70. He was Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at the University of Münster and Roman Catholic priest of the diocese of Eichstätt, Germany. Dr. Zenger was an esteemed scholar in Old Testament studies. Among his many works is A God of Vengeance? published by WJK.
