Fair Use Guidelines

Fair use is not specifically defined; however, small portions of text may be utilized without seeking permission if the source is properly credited.

1. No more than 500 words may be reproduced without permission.
2. No more than 10 percent of a particular volume may be reproduced without permission.
3. No complete poem, prayer, or song lyric may be reproduced without permission.
4. Permission is always required for a course pack, Web site, or musical composition.

Note: Churches and small groups may reproduce up to five pages of original content from a book for study use with a limit of fifteen copies.
